David W. Schropfer has been CEO of Anchor ID since its inception, and he was recently named one of the most interesting voices in FinTech. David is an expert at creating profitable businesses from new technologies; for example: he built an $85M cellular business in the late 1990’s, then a $90M VoIP business in the mid 2000’s. More recently, he helped large companies (including a Fortune 5 company) build their mobile strategy leveraging the security and technology available in smartphones, and finally he launched AnchorID to use advanced cryptography and mobile technology to improve user experience during authentication.
His unique insights on commercializing advanced technology have been broadcast on NPR radio, CBC radio, and MSNBC. Published for the first time in 2010, David authored five books with a focus on mobile, cybersecurity and financial technology.
